Monochrome lino
We’re lucky to be able to spend lots of time in Les Isles Bardel, a charming spot in Normandy. I’ve done countless drawings and paintings of this and other views around the house – all sadly now lost when someone stole my sketchbook recently. But the beauty of printmaking is – so long as you have the block – you can recreate.
I think this print looks like a woodblock and – although there are lots of mistakes I can see – I’m quite pleased with it.
